Welcome to The Little Embroidery Studio
Thank you for visiting The Little Embroidery Studio — a labour of love born from a lifelong passion for handcrafted textiles and the quiet magic of embroidery. Here, every stitch tells a story, and every piece is designed to be worn, cherished, and remembered.
What We Do
We create one-of-a-kind, hand-embroidered clothing and footwear that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern style. From delicate floral motifs on linen shirts to bold, colourful patterns adorning leather boots, our pieces are made to turn heads and spark conversations. Each item is carefully stitched by hand in our small studio, ensuring attention to detail that mass production simply can’t match.
Topics We Cover
At The Little Embroidery Studio, we explore the art of wearable embroidery through:
- Custom-designed apparel for everyday wear and special occasions
- Hand-embroidered footwear that blends comfort with artistry
- Tips and inspiration for embroidery enthusiasts
- The history and techniques of British and global textile traditions
- How to care for and preserve embroidered garments
About the Creator
I’m Aria Pennington, the maker behind The Little Embroidery Studio. Raised in Australia with a deep appreciation for slow fashion and handmade goods, I fell in love with embroidery as a child, watching my grandmother work her needle through cotton and silk. After years of working in fashion design, I chose to return to my roots — to create slowly, intentionally, and with heart. Though I now live in Richmond, Victoria, my designs are inspired by the rich textile heritage of the UK, where embroidery has long been celebrated as both craft and art.
Why This Website Exists
I created The Little Embroidery Studio because I believe fashion should be meaningful. In a world of fast trends and disposable clothing, I wanted to offer something different: garments that carry the warmth of human hands, the patience of quiet craftsmanship, and the soul of personal expression. This isn’t just a shop — it’s a celebration of the art that happens when thread meets fabric, and when care becomes clothing.
Our Values
Every piece we create is guided by three principles:
- Slow Craft — No rush, no mass production. Each item takes time, and that’s the point.
- Ethical Creation — We source materials responsibly and work with small, sustainable suppliers.
- Personal Connection — Whether you’re ordering a custom piece or simply browsing, you’re part of our story.
